Episode Name: Don't Hate The Player
Series: Warehouse 13, Season 3 (Eureka Crossover)
Rating: Four and a Half Spaceships
Mission Briefing:
It's a normal, boring day. But then Claudia gets an emergency call from a business partner of Fargo's... turns out Fargo is stuck in a virtual reality game (based on Warehouse 13) he was working on! And guess what he was using to fix a game problem? That's right... an Artifact! And things are getting wacky and dangerous... so much so, that he and his other partner (also stuck in the game, not the caller) may die! Pete and Claudia hop into the game as well to save these two, but things may get more dangerous, since we are talking about an Artifact usage...
Meanwhile, Artie and Steve go to get an Artifact, running into the FBI spy (sorry, can't remember the name). They have to steal the Artifact, but said FBI spy may cause trouble...
Is it "game over" for everybody?
Mission Briefing:
Okay, there are two major downers to this episode. Number 1: freaky scene with Claudia's fear. Number 2: the second storyline. The Steal-Van-Gogh (sp? on last one) Storyline was not a good storyline... it wasn't very enjoyable. And it was a little glitchy... I mean, they should have suspected something about her running off, even if she did come back! Oh, and shouldn't have Steve been able to tell she was lying? Glitchy...! Anyway, it wasn't very enjoyable.
BUT, very wisely, they didn't stick to that storyline very much. Again, Autoboot-Camp-like, but very, VERY wise!!!
The game storyline was purely awesome. The graphics could have been done better, though. Otherwise, though, this was a very awesome story. It was very enjoyable, and it was very well-done. Some of the jokes made sense, since it was based on Warehouse 13. And they remembered the Goo. You know... purple junk that "calms down" Artifacts? That element had minimized since the start of the show (like, it's there, but not talked about much and just accepted). The fact that it kind of came back was awesome. And elf-Claudia and gladiator Pete was cool. And Claudia's actually a good singer! Cool! But the whole jump-in-the-video-game thing (and seeing "fantasy" versions of the Warehouse) was totally awesome! And the story was good too!
So, despite the downer points, this is one of my fave Warehouse 13 episodes!
