Episode Name: The Big Broadcast of 2006
Series: The Transformers (classic, 1986), Season 3
Rating: Two and a Half Spaceships
Mission Briefing:
The Quintesson Journal has landed on the planet Junkion, but the Quintessons can't get near it. To counteract, the Quintessons hack into the Junkions' TVs, and start sending hypno-signals, making the Junkions hostile to everyone. Both Autobots and Decepticons are baffled by the change (not so much Galvatron, however... I think his insanity was acting up).
But when a result of a battle causes the hypno-signals to go to every corner of the galaxy, inter-galatic (sp?) war breaks out, meaning the possible end of the galaxy...
Mission Briefing:
Here's another reason I don't care for episodes with Quins. The story wasn't very well-done. There were a bunch of unexplained stuff... for example, Galvatron eventually got affected by the TV signals. But where was his TV? He was in a clearing with a nearby lava pool, not in his castle, so the it was most likely before the castle was made. But there was no TV! That was way too unexplained for comfort.
And they jumped an extra year! In the five-parter, it was 2005, but it's 2006 in this one (due to title). That's not the only chronological problem... this one obviously takes place before The Quintesson Journal; it's the episode where the Journal-hunt (for the Quins) begins!
It was sort of enjoyable to watch, however. Like the scene were the cat-aliens attack the dog-aliens was amusing. (Revenge of the cats! lol!)
This was definitely not their best, but at least it was somewhat enjoyable to watch.
Oh, Wreck-Gar has a girlfriend (or possibly wife, they never told you) in this one! :)
