Episode Name: The Quintesson Journal
Series: The Transformers (classic, 1986), Season 3
Rating: Two Spaceships
Mission Briefing:
While Rodimus Prime and Spike try to stop an inter-planetary war at a peace conference, both Autobots and Decepticons pick up an old Quintesson signal. It's being broadcast by a Quintesson Journal. It's soon a Get-the-Journal-at-All-Costs party, with even the Quintessons playing the game!
The fate of two planets depend on whoever gets this Journal...
Mission Report:
Oh man, this episode needs work! While it didn't completely bomb the place (though there was an explosion at the end), it had problems. A lot of unexplained stuff happened, like Warp Gates that appeared and disappeared without explanation, and Autobots magically aboard Sky Lynx though they should have never been able to get on.
And the story wasn't the best for enjoyment. It did show a clear moral, however: when there's a war, no one really wins. But even that had an extra bit, and I'm not sure how true it is (as far as this goes, of course. Who believes that Transformers are real in the slightest?).
This was definitely not the best of episodes.
