Ghost In The Machine

Episode Name: Ghost In The Machine
Series: The Transformers (classic, 1986), Season 3
Rating: Four Spaceships

Mission Briefing:
After possessing Scourge and a failed assassination attempt on Galvatron, Starscream’s ghost heads for Unicron’s head, hoping to get a new body. He forces Scourge to help out. After reactivating Unicron, they discover that Unicron wants them to perform three labors as payment for the body. The Three Labors cause havoc for both Autobot and Decepticon…
But will the true havoc come when all three Labors are completed?

Mission Report:
Starscream’s final performance… not my favorite memo, but I still highly liked this episode.
There were some story problems… for example, what was special about Scourge? Part of what made the episode so fun was that, while Starscream possessed his body, Scourge still had his mind and was fighting Starscream on and off. But every other Decepticon Starscream took over was taken over completely, and never remembered the experience. That means that either Scourge had a stronger will than the other Decepticons, or that was some sort of story glitch.
We did find out what happens when Starscream tries to possess an Autobot… KA-BOOM!
Therefore, the story forgot to explain some things. But it was otherwise good, and it was enjoyable. It’s one of my favorite-want-to-watch-every-time-I-go-through-The-Transformers episodes!
