Episode Name: Pilot
Series: Sliders, Season 1
Rating: Three and a Half Spaceships
Mission Briefing:
When Quin makes a Warphole, he discovers that it can be used to travel to parallel universes... other Dimensions, as I like to call them. When he brings his friend Wade and his science professor Arturo, he powers up the timer device that's supposed to bring them home. By accident, they bring along an ex-singer Rembrandt "Crying Man" Brown. They end up in a world that has suffered an ecological disaster, and is basically a bad-weathered ice ball.
Quin plays with the timer again, against the warnings of a different Quin that appeared earlier in the episode, and they all end up in the Second American Revolution... the Soviet Union has taken over this Earth. Rembrandt is captured for using American money. The only way the other three can save him is joining the revolution forces trying to get Liberty... or death.
Mission Report:
Now this was more of a normal pilot. It got better during the second half, during what I'll be calling the Second American Revolution until something happens. The story was only average, with some unexplained stuff. It did end on a nice cliffhanger, though...
This was a pretty decent show, and I hope the series gets better.
