The Return Of Optimus Prime Parts 1-2

Episode Name: The Return Of Optimus Prime Parts 1-2
Series: The Transformers (classic, 1986), Season 3
Rating: Three and a Half Spaceships

Mission Briefing:
Two humans, Jessica and a friend, discover and rescue the body of Optimus Prime while testing a new metal. But they also discover a spore-based plague that causes hate and madness (craziness kind). But when the Decepticons attack, Jessie's legs are crippled. The Autobots make an exoskeleton for her legs so that she can walk, but it's too late. Her father and friend are now Autobot-haters. They make a trap, and release the Hate Plague...
But the Hate Plague gets wildly out of hand. Almost everyone is infected. The fate of the galaxy lies in the few that have not been infected, but most of all in Optimus Prime...
But will even Optimus be able to stop the plague if he lives again?

Mission Report:
These episodes are better for personal enjoyment level. There were a bunch of story problems, and not just all series-wise, but problems within the multi-parter itself! Take the classic "Autobots can't fly" motif. They show that in the second part, and Galvatron makes a trap due to this, but in the first part there was a scene where Blurr was flying! And there were problems where they forgot series details... like, the Quintessons are now Optimus's creators! What about Alpha Trion? YEESH!
But the shows were partly enjoyable. I mean... teams-ups! And it's great to have Optimus Prime back... he was a fave character during the first two Seasons. Yes, even though I don't bop for OptiZombie (Dark Awakening review).
This wasn't my favorite set of shows (I'm not multi-parter fan anyway), but it's good to have Optimus back in action!

Added Note:
For those worried about chronological order (like me), all episodes after The Five Faces Of Darkness are previous to this, and the chronological order is set straight again.
