Welcome to the Big Apple! Megatron is hungry for power, so he sets his sights on New York, New York! He starts transforming the city into a Cybertronian city, renamed New Cybertron. And he's captured Optimus Prime, so the Autobots are helpless. The Autobots launch a rescue mission...
But it doesn't help that Optimus has been chopped up into pieces!

Mission Briefing:
This is the episode where we're introduced into the second art style. Personally, I like the normal art style better. This is also the episode where we first see another common location for the series--New York! Oh, and this episode's got its own King Kong reference--they even mention it's from King Kong! LOL!
At first, the episode isn't great enjoyment. I mean--OP in suspended animation and then chopped up? Not comfy! It gets better, but... yeesh.
The story was actually pretty well-done. There were only a few glitches, and they were pretty minor. Most of the time, they just switched scenes too fast.
This was a pretty good show, but you have to get past the first part.
