Episode Name: Traitor
Series: The Transformers, Season 2
Rating: Three Spaceships
Mission Briefing:
Megs and the Cons steal a bunch of electro-cells for their energy purposes. Bad news is, that the electro-cells are not yet safe! If they explode, possible outcome: bye-bye planet Earth! It's up to the Autobots to stop them.
But it's no help that Cliffjumper is charging Mirage with treachery! Mirage has a plan of his own to get the electro-cells, but it makes him look like a traitor. Oh, and the Insecticons are playing along as well!
Things are getting troublesome...
Mission Report:
More content issues. This is one of those exceptions I mention in the A Plague Of Insecticons review. It's not comfy watching Mirage being blamed for everything and then being turned into a mind-slave by one of Bombshell's cerebro-shells (the first time we see Bombshell's classic power). Plenty of lost points for that, and the fact that the writers forgot that they set up Mirage as a fight-hater in the original three-parter More Than Meets The Eye. Annoying!
But the show was enjoyable to watch in some parts. And the story was excellent! There were only a very few glitches (not counting the series-mistake mentioned above), ones that were very minor! Heh-heh-heh... I'm reminded of Dark Awakening! LOL!
Anyway, this is not my fave episode, but I again tip my hat to the writer, and remember that there were some enjoyable parts in this show!
